2013-2014 (Pilot project):

In this pilot project, 3rd grade students studied two point perspective in art through the design of a paper-based house of their own design. Later, students were taught Sketchup in the computer lab and transformed their house into a 3D version. The homes were 3D printed and assembled into a sustainable community that was later displayed at the STEAMS Expo.

This was the true first year of the Innovation Lab. Fourth grade students came together to learn the 3D design program called Tinkercad. They then designed products for various "problems" in the school community.

Building on the previous two years knowledge, 4th and 5th graders were able to use their 1:1 laptops and iPads to design medals for the school spelling bee and design products based off of social studies concepts learned in class.
